My Siblings....

Boy, where do I start with this one....I guess as the saying goes, I will begin at the beginning....when I met the first of my siblings at the shelter. You see, the good AWA people in their wisdom thought it important for me to meet my new family before going home with mom and dad, just to make sure I wasn't going to have to show them who was boss. Luckily they all quickly realized who they were dealing with and the meeting went well.

So I started by meeting Jaq (pronounced Jack, nothing uppity and french)....ok Dad...what was the bright idea of starting here? I mean seriously, I'm all prepared to meet my new family and you start by bringing this beheamoth to meet me? Seriously, I would need a stepladder to see eye to eye with this guy. I think mom and dad mentioned he was from Germany or something and may have worked with sheep. Once I got over the towering size he was actually ok, pretty mellow and leaves me to my own devices. Turns out he lived in a shelter once too, another family just didn't have time for him. Mom and Dad like him alot and he's say pretty bright, does all kinds of tricks and stuff. Personally I say if he is so bright why's he doing tricks to get treats? I mean I'm able to weasel a treat out of them with little more than a well placed glance and bat of my eyes. But overall he's good, has to take a buncha pills and eat special food. Dad says he can't digest his food on his own due to something called EPI, sounds pretty nasty. I guess the special diet and all is why he hasn't tried to make a meal of me so it's in my favor.

Jaq's own little page can be found here.

Next up was Lucy. She's pretty cool, kinda mellow.....oh who am I kidding, Ive seen area rugs that were livelier but its ok because she's still pretty big and scary if she wanted to be so a good calm attitude is alright by me. Not to pick on her 'cause I do like her, but she looks as though she has trouble picking out the right size coat. I mean the baggy look is soooooo 90s but I guess where she comes from (China I think it was) thats the fashion. I believe she is called a charpay or something (ed. thats Shar-Pei there Nugget) She does like to party around bedtime though, while mommy and I are doing our dancing routine and Im playing with her its like someone switched the "on" switch for Lucy and she and dad go nuts. Mom and Dad got her as a puppy so she doesnt really know much about shelter life (more like she's led a sheltered life) like me and the rest of the dogs but she's pretty understanding and will share her toys and even food if asked.

I've been helping Lucy with a little page of her own when she is awake enough to dicate to me.

Then came Ricky....ooooooh boy. Dad says I am Ricky's "MiniMe" because we are so much alike, I should be insulted but I guess I do see the similarities. He kinda looks like me only bigger. I think mom said he was supposed to be a MinPin but due to his eating habits he looks more like a MaxPin to me. We both love mommy and sometimes have to argue over who gets the lap space. He does love to eat and is not too fond of his diet food so he likes to trade with me, mom and dad arent real keen on that idea though. I guess he used my den before I got it. He's not so afraid of things anymore and behaves in the house so he doesnt need it, but sometimes I go to my den to find my bed has been slept in and I dont think it was Goldilocks. He had a hard life before mom and dad too. He did the shelter thing for awhile, in fact mom and dad chased him from shelter to shelter, just missing him each time until he ended up with the Internet Miniature Pinscher Rescue Society then mom and dad finally were able to adopt him.

Ricky has finally put his page up here.

Well after this whole ordeal I finally get to go home with them. To my shock and surprise there were even more friends waiting at home to meet. Slightly overwhelming but there is definitely no lack of love around here.

JC and Winnie are the cats and they are pretty cool as far as cats go. They dont bug me, I dont bug them and all is well. Besides I fear winnie could eat me if she wanted but mommie gets upset if dad and I comment on winnies um....sizeable eating habits. Not to mention she has 6 toes on each foot....great, just what the world needs....extra claws. Luckily they are both alright and we get along just fine.

George and Greycie were next. They are odd looking animals, only 2 feet like my people but no arms instead they have what they call wings. They are a bit disgruntled with me right now because they haven't been able to leave their dens as much while I settle in. Dad wants to make sure I dont try anything. Puuuuhleease....unless its plucked and broiled to a crispy brown I'm not interested in any bird. They must be really smart because they are bi-lingual. They have their own language and they can also speak like mom and dad. I think it will be in my best interest to make allies of these intellegent creatures. Appearently before this duo there was another bird, dad has put some information about her as well as more info on george and greycie here.

In my office here where I work on my emails and website there is another den, but no birds in it. Im sure there is something in there because Ricky goes nuts for it and every once in awhile I hear some odd noises coming from it. As I get ready for bed I see dad taking them some food but I fear what beast may be lurking there and wether or not they have a taste for mexican. Mom reassures me they are fine, something called sugar-gliders and they are sisters named Eva and Zsa Zsa but I will reserve my opinion until we meet. Mom says they like to party all night and usually don't wake up until I've headed off for bed so I may have to have some coffee and an afternoon nap and get ready for an all nighter.

There is also a fishtank in here, but Im not much of a fisherman....they are pretty though I guess.
