Hi Everyone. Nugget here. You know, I have to admit, I'm not much of a news and current events kind of dog. But this morning I asked dad to leave CNN on the TV as I am tiring of that country station he leaves on for us and I wanted to see what was going on in the world outside my yard.

Wow....that was one nasty storm. Those folks down there need some more dogs, when storms get bad around here me and Jaq and Ricky bark at them and they have never done that kind of damage so we must be scaring them away. But from what I hear there were dogs down there, just not enough I guess, and cats and other pets too. Which brings me to my point. I hear there are lots of rescue efforts going on to help everyone and that is great. If you choose to help out with donations please dont forget the efforts to help all the now homeless animals too.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Had a nice long weekend with the family, great weather, lots of fun. I made mom a little crabby though 'cause I'm an early riser...all this sleeping in nonsense of her's must stop. So after I woke her for a little outdoor excursion early in the morning she tried to get me to go back to sleep. I wasn't really interested so she let me come hang out in the bed hoping that would get me to quiet down. Seemed like a good opportunity to play to me. I decided to see if maybe dad was up for a game of chase the hand so I started my nibbling on his fingers. He moved his hand under the covers but I wasn't going to let him off that easy so I went a-snarlin and dartin' under the covers after it and came up with a mouthfull of....well...not his fingers....he was NOT amused.

Otherwise it was a pretty relaxed weekend....Dad went racing on sunday...mom went and got herself a sunburn. Not sure why she wanted one, it seems like she's not really enjoying it. Me and the other dogs just hung out and enjoyed the weather. Hope everyone else had a good holiday!

9 Sept 2005

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Slow day around the house so I just thought I would ramble and muse. Been trying to keep up with current events more these days so the next time a storm rolls around I can round up the rest of the crew to help with the barking and scare it away. It seems aside from the big storm everyone is all worried about the price of gas. I don't really know what the big issue there is, Jaq has gas all the time and he doesn't have any money, so there has got to be a way to get it for free. But dad has been riding his motorcycle more now, says its cheaper. Looks pretty cool, and I always know when he gets home now...no sneaking up on us anymore. I'm trying to talk him into taking me for a ride. Mom is afraid I would jump off, dad says he will let me ride in the luggage bag....humph...Im not luggage.

Speaking of dad...he's trying to teach me...I hate that. He knows I don't go into my den at night without my bedtime snack. I'm *very* vocal about that point. But he wants me to go in when Im told so now I can't have my snack until Im in there already. *Sigh* when will he learn who is in charge....but I would do almost anything to get my gooberlicious treats so I guess I will put up with it.

Lucy, in a breif moment of activity, disembowled a stuffed toy yesterday. It looked like christmas with white fluffy stuff everywhere. In an odd conincidence mom had stopped at petsmart on her way home and got some new toys. Nice heavy canvas bones to chew on. Not really my thing but the other dogs like them. She was so happy because they were much more robust so Lucy wouldnt tear them up and create another faux winter wonderland. Of course sometimes Jaq just sees these things as a challenge and had promply ripped one open within the first 5 minutes. Dad said it was a new record for toy destruction. Jaq was happy with himself.

Found a cool site called Dogster.com so I made myself a little profile there so hopefully more people will come find my website. You can find me on Dogster here: http://www.dogster.com/?192081

Well, enough ranting for today, I hope everyone is well. And if you need some gas I will rent out Jaq for a fair price, I could use a little extra kibble fund.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Im so excited, my girl Jessica is coming to see me this weekend. Im sure we will party alot, and I can probably help her play Dogopoly with mom and dad, they all seem to love that game. Dad always tries to hoard the Chihuahua slot on the board. At first mom and jess just thought he was silly since its one of the cheap properties (I will save my indignation for another rant) but he is conviced that the Chihuahua can win the game, and he's been pretty successful in that strategy. Mom is getting ready for her big 3 day walk, sounds like great fun to me I would love to go on a 3 day walk. She is raising money to help people this time (I guess I can allow her that every once in awhile. Be sure to check out her fundraising site and lend a hand if you can. So I guess this will mean Im stuck with dad all next weekend. And I dont think he will be much fun because he has been going on and on about another "new" car that he's going to start work on. He really owes me a few rides.

If you are a regular reader of my site and would like to get a notification when I've made an update sent me an email and I will be sure to let you know when I make my little updates.

I ran into this photo the other day, I think Im gonna hire this guy to be my bodyguard.

22 Sept 2005

Hi everyone. Nugget here. Been a busy week. Dad ended up not getting the new car due to some other stuff going on around here which Im just not ready to talk about. My girl jessica came to visit and we had a great time. But I gotta tell ya a little story which has me kinda miffed. Mom and Dad finally took me back to visit my friends at AWA. I was a bit nervous, I thought they might be returning me...but I just got to say hi and visit with everyone. Anyway mom took me and jess outside while dad finished a conversation and as we are walking past a little girl turned to her father and asked why Mom had a cat on a leash! I AM NOT A CAT! I shoulda bit her. After that we went to the dog park. There were only 2 other dogs there and one of them jumped the fence to say hi as soon as we got there. A little forward if you ask me. He and his friend were playing in the small dog area and the big dog area was empty so mom and dad let me play there as I was in no mood for more forward behavior. The big dog area...yeah, that helped smooth over that cat remark a little bit. Overall though I dont see the excitement over the dog park, Im just not much of a ball chasin, runnin around, actin the fool kinda dog so it was just different grass to pee on. Well that's about all the excitement I have to share right now. Mom starts her long walk tomorrow. Good luck mom!

28 Sept 2005

Hi everyone. Nugget here. First let me start by saying wooohooo....go mom....you rock! Mom did her walk, 20 miles a day for 3 days. She kicked butt! Of course right now the foot game is off limits, her toes are a bit sore. Second let me send out a big happy birthday to my sister Lucy. We are having a party tonite...should be fun. Now for the sad part of our day. The stuff I didnt want to talk about earlier. Due to a very sad and tragic accident my sibling George is no longer with us. Dad is very upset as he and George were very close. Sorry for the downer. To move things a bit more upbeat dad says that there is another feathered friend coming soon. His name is sylvester and I think dad said he is a Red Front Macaw. I haven't seen him yet but dad gave me a photo. Looks like a smart guy. I'm a bit scared though, dad warned me he was bigger than George was, and even bigger than Greycie. Dang are they brining some big ole predator in here who might think I look like a snackable bunny rabbit?!? Time will tell I guess. Oh, I also heard back from Rambo the cat about a quote on his bodyguard service (might need it with a big new bird in the house) He is all booked up but he has some apprentices in training that may be able to help me, the little guy below is just starting the program but might be my new bodyguard in the future. Well thats all I have to report for now. I hope all my friends out there are doing well.

My bodyguard?

Sylvester

30 Sept 2005

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Well the birthday party was a blast, lots of cool snacks and new toys. Im not much into toys but everyone else liked them. Unfortunately a big thing of snacks got knocked over and I gobbled up a bunch before dad could pick them up. Actually that wasnt unfortunate, that was great, the unfortunate part is it has given me the runs something fierce.

The new bird came home today. Can be a loud bugger when he wants to. Dad has him sequestered in the guest room right now so I still havent seen him, but I did get to see that new cage when dad was setting it up and whatever fits in there scares me. He gave me a few more photos, Im still kinda scared, guess I will just wait and see. Dad says he is in quarantine until the vet clears him because he came from a multi bird house and if he is carrying anything he doesnt want it to spread to Greycie. Good to be cautious I guess.

On to October >
