Hi Everyone! Nugget here. Ahhh....but who is Nugget? Well...I am...silly question, silly people. But more to the point I am a Chihuahua currently residing with my wonderful parents Jim and Kelley. Life was not always this good though. In my early years I did not have a great life and thats all I wish to say on the matter other than I was found at the Philadelphia SPCA by the wonderful folks of the Animal Welfare Association in Voorhees NJ and brought there for their great care and attention. It was here that I first met my new mom and dad. Dad is a computer guy who likes to play with cars when he's not busy caring for my siblings and me and mom works for a veteranarian and takes all the great photos and provides lots of love and care for all of us. It was not too long ago that one of my bretheren Chihuahua's was brought to her office in bad shape. This made her sad. Mom and Dad have lots of furry and feathered friends and there comes a point dad says where one more mouth to feed isnt so much of a big deal (dad sometimes calls me Jell-O 'cause there's always room for Jell-O) So mom wanted to see if she couldn't find a chihuahua to help out. But boy did she get lucky...she found me! And I rule! When we first met I was on behavioral hold because...well quite frankly sometimes people get on my nerves and I feel the need to let them know it. The good people at the AWA saw the experience Mom and Dad had with "difficult" animals (hey, Im not really difficult!) and thought we might just work out fine. And work out we have. Dad has been teaching me to use my email to update the AWA folks on my status and finally he thought I should progress on to my own website so more folks can learn about the joys of rescue and the great people (and pets) at AWA. So here you will get my thoughts on life as I adjust to my new home and just on my life as it happens around me. Feel free to send me emails; I like the attention.
