Hi Everyone. Nugget Here. Welcome to my October Diary. Mom and Dad have been trying to prepare me. They say at the end of the month there will be lots of people coming to the door and I should try to limit my barking. We will see about that, I think these folks are crazy. Sylvester is doing well, I have seen him from the doorway a few times now and I'm a little less frightened because he seems pretty mellow. We have some new neighbors moving in, they have been doing alot of work on their house and have all kinds of people over there working on it. Lots for me to bark at, so far they have all been good and respected my authority so I haven't had to bite them.
Dad and I have a great new game. We had been working on his training, I would wait outside my den and he would put treats in it so I could go in and eat them. He was learning so well that I wanted the treats in my den when he brought them that I moved to the next step and just went right in the den to wait for my treats. All was going well until dad decided since I was in my den already I didn't really need the treats anymore....hey! who is training who here? This was not going to do so the other night when he closed the door without my treat again I started squealing and yelping and crying out for my treat. Dad thought for sure he caught my foot in the door I made such a ruckus. He felt bad that he might have hurt me so he went and got more treats. Since then I think he has figured out my little trick but now when he is coming upstairs I bark at him the whole way to remind him I want my bedtime snack.
Speaking of snacks, dad has noticed a distinct lack of Gooberlicious treats in the stores. He had to go to 3 different stores to finally find them and he bought the last 3 bags they had just in case there is to be a prolonged shortage or, dog forbid, a permanent unavailability. So if anyone knows anything about this shortage let me know...in the mean time I will send dad out to look for more so I can stockpile them.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Well I think I'm going to start my own business. This weekend mom and dad were trying to do their usual sleep in stuff when I woke mom early cause I really had to pee. Well once I'm up I hate to go back to my den so I got to hang out on the bed with mom and dad. Dad was sleeping so I went over and headbutted him in the back :) I then ran up and down his back mashing my head into it and rolling around. Mom told me to stop so dad could rest but dad said it actually felt pretty good. He said I could be a CHI-ropractor. Sounds like a good career for me. He liked it so much I was sure to do it again sunday. He really needed it sunday because he was working on a new room in the house all day saturday and he was sore. Speaking of which, mom and dad have been holding out on me....there is a WHOLE other area of the house I had not seen (or peed in). It looks like it will be a pretty cool place when they are done. Mom called it a game room, Im not much for games but it still looks like it could have potential. Well thats pretty much the extent of my weekend, if anyone needs some good chihuahua back massage let me know, I really need to bulk up my kibble fund.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Man...what cruddy weather lately...I've been fighting with mom and dad when they want me to go outside, its just too cold and wet. So, let's see, whats new in nuggetdom...well, not much really, the weather's getting colder, mom's getting that goofy gleam in her eye and metioning sweaters. I better talk dad into taking me shopping so I can at least pick out something cool before mom dresses me up like a tool. Anyone know where you can get some good flannel shirts in my size? Or maybe a denim jacket? I think the cats are feeling the effects of the cold too. Winnie cat is all snuggly with dad at night now where she is usually pretty aloof (thats my big word of the day) I think she is just scamming some warmth off him, not a bad idea I guess, but I have a real nice warm cozy bed in my den so I'm happy. Oh, I guess mom was tired of me getting all the attention so she has started "blogging". Dad even set her up with some cool software to make it all easy and stuff, me...I get to do this the old fashioned way. What's up with that? I guess I know where I rank. Anyway if you want to check out mom's thoughts and writings she can be found at http://myblog.simcoxfamily.com/ Who knows maybe we'll get everyone doing it, although dad says he's got enough to do just updating his car stuff and helping mom with her site and besides, the man is a loon, noone should be subjected to his rantings.

Hi everyone. Nugget here. The nice people at Bil-Jac sent me a reply about my feared shortage of Gooberlicious treats:
Thanks for your nice message about Gooberlicious. Sorry that they are so popular that they're hard to find. Thanks for your persistence. We'll keep working on getting more distribution and getting retailers to carry more in store -- PETsMART replenishes only once a week on our brand.
Keep on enjoying them. They are very popular.
Thank You from Customer Service at Bil-Jac
So it looks like the fears or a shortage are unfounded and I will continue to have a supply of my favorite treats. Life is good.
I wanted to give a quick shout out to my aunt Beth who finally read my website last night. I hear she enjoyed it, of course its only hearsay because she didn't send me any email :( C'mon folks...my little doggie day is boring, send me email.
Mom and Dad wanted me to tell you about my two new "tricks". The first one they find amusing, when the are eating I will actually sit and watch them completely quivering in anticipation of getting a morsel. Mom was worried at first because when uncontrolled my Addison's can give me the shakes but dad saw through my ruse, I was just going for the sympathy ploy to get more food. It still works because dad is amused by it. He is not however amused with my latest toy. Feet and sponges are good, but the mostest fun thing ever is toilet paper. I can pull it from the roll and make fun trails around the house with it. When streamers aren't good enough I like to shred it into confetti. I think it really brightens up the house, but mom and dad are less enthusiastic about it. I have been locked out of the bathrooms now. Bummer.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Sometimes life can be cruel. Dad went to the store this weekend and when he came back he had some snacks. Now right on the bag it says NUGGETS....so they must be mine but mom and dad wont let me have any. I think Im getting ripped off here. They did let me have some pretzels, they were pretty yummy. Dad has yet another new name for me. He calls me Mr. Shitzenhouzen. Not quite sure what he means by that but he usually doesnt say it when he is happy with me so it may not be good. My girl Jessica is coming to see me this weekend, maybe she will let me have the treats with my name on them.
A few people have mentioned that they really like reading my diaries (thank you) some have even suggested I should write a book. Well I do have alot of spare time so I guess I may consider it. The problem as I see it is that most people would expect a book written by a Chihuahua to be a children's book, but if you have read my site you know that while I keep it PG-13 its definitely not kids stuff. Not quite sure what I would fill a whole book with anyway, but for my adoring fans I will consider it some more. I'm open to suggestions from everyone out there on what they would like to see in my book. Mostly it would just be an expanded version of the stories in my diaries and maybe some of my other adventures. And if anyone wants to publish the works of a Chihuahua just let me know :) Well, Im off to nap a little and ponder life.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. I know I have a whole page dedicated my ranting, but thats on a specific subject and today is just a few mini-rants. Did you know I have and Aunt Stacey? I DIDN'T! Did you know she likes to read my website too? I DIDN"T! (but a big thanks to Aunt Beth for pointing it out to her) My point is I gotta keep hearing from other people how much someone likes my website. Hey, make a little dog's day, send me an email and tell me you like it. So a big old chihuahua Hellllloooooooooooo to Aunt Stacey. I asked sister Lucy about her since they have met and she says aunt Stacey is cool. She likes to scrapbook with mom and aunt beth. I personally don't understand this whole thing of putting scraps in a book, slide a few into my dish so I don't have to eat dry kibble. Which leads to the subject of my second mini rant for today.
What the heck ever happened to Doggie bags!? Seriously, this is the second time in a week Ive been ripped off. First mom and dad go out to dinner on saturday, do they bring me home anything? Noooooo....they just stroll on in mom all smelling of steak and fish and dad with the sweet aroma of barbecue and not so much as a dry rib bone to gnaw on. And then last night mom goes to dinner with Aunt Beth and the mysterious Aunt Stacey, I figger my shot is alot better now, 3 lovely animal friendly women would surely see fit too send a little something home to poor little malnourished Nugget wouldn't they? Nope robbed again! I saw on tv a commercial for some healthcare stuff that said "The bag is back" Unfortunately they meand the goofy little doctors bag...I say to heck with that...bring back the doggie bag! Dogs of the world unite...we will rally, we will march, we will bring back the doggie bag, as soon as Lucy gets up from her nap. Take revenge on those heartless souls who will not bring you back the slightest scrap or sliver from their luxurious meal. Just this morning I woke everyone up at 4:00 am just to get my revenge....that'll show em.
Nugget out. (see Seacrest, it does sound stupid now doesn't it?)
24 October 2005
Hi everyone. Nugget here. Well dad ran off for a few days so I have to keep an eye on mom. He had to go to someplace called Denver to learn some stuff. Probably do him some good, he could stand to learn some stuff. I hope he learns how to bring home a danged doggie bag. For some reason aunt Beth was worried there would be no updates from me while he was gone but I hacked his password so I can still update my site (and check out www.poodleporn.com again) Speaking of dad, he had to work very late last thursday so he really needed his sleep friday morning. Of course I wanted to check on him so I came bouncing around his side of the bed to say hi. He was so tired he just scooped me up into the bed and told me to take a nap. Sounded pretty good to me and I got extra snuggle time in the bed. Mom caught us and said she was sad she didnt have her camera 'cause it was a Kodak moment. I also got to do more of my Chi-ropracting this weekend. Dad enjoyed the backrub but wasnt too fond of the tounge massage technique I tried afterwards. He tastes like snacks.
I also got ripped off again. Mom and Dad and Jessica went out to dinner saturday with moms family and I still got no doggie bag. Im getting seriously miffed about this. I hear I need to talk to Aunt Evelyn because she is known to bring treats to dogs. And on top of all that everyone went to PetSmart sunday and I got robbed out of a trip :( Mom said we all had to take turns and it was Ricky's turn. Im really not into this sharing thing...it kinda blows.
Looks like Florida needs more dogs too...I hear they have a really bad storm going on. I offered to go down there and bark it away but mom said she has visions of me looking like Toto in the wizzard of Oz, just flying away with the wind.
Oh, and I hear aunt Beth is feeling a bit under the weather today so I wanted to say get well soon. And stop staying out till 3am ;) *sigh* someone else who went out this weekend and I STILL dont have a doggie bag.

Hi everyone. Nugget here. I talked to dad a bit tonite (don't tell mom). He's pretty much bored sensless out in Denver but he did say he was learning some things. Not only from the class but he's learning some things about his counterparts who work out there. But as this is a family oriented page I shall not repeat them. So I told him to hurry home and not to forget the doggie bag this time.
I'm definitely getting the short end of the stick in his absence. As soon as mom dozes off ricky and lucy are up in the bed with her. Jaq is too good to do such a thing. Id be up there but Im stuck in my den. Its just not fair. At least when dad was home it was equal that noone was allowed in the bed and sometimes I even got some special treatment and got to hang out with him in the mornings after mom got up.
Overall everything is a bit different since he's not here and everyone is acting wierd. Ricky even tried to talk me into playing tonite, he must be bored. We have to fight more for snuggle time with mom since dad isnt here to pick up the slack either. Hurry home dad.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Dad's Home! Woohooo....of course the Dork didnt bring me a doggie bag. But he did bring me something funny and some cool stories. The funny thing was a bar of soap from his hotel. It had instructions that said "Just Add Water" You people are kinda dense if you need those instructions. I'll try to have him scan it for me so I can show everyone. He told me all about the prarie dogs he saw in Denver. He thought I might like them because they are about my size. It all just makes me think "Little dog on the Prarie." now that would have been a good show. Well, its going to be a short update today because I want to go harrass dad a little bit.
Oh yeah, a nice lady mom works with had a sweater in my size. On the upside its kinda butch and sweatshirty, I still feel kinda like a tool though. But its not too bad and I must admit it keeps me toasty. Kinda like a nice warm hug all day long.....ewww...I think I just threw up in my mouth a bit. Must been channeling Hello Kitty or something. What I meant to say was I like the way it highlights my pecs and biceps...yeah, thats it. Anyway, a big thanks and Nugget shout out to Lisa Hart for the great warm sweatshirt.
