2 November 2005

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Another new month....this year is just cruising right along. Wow, noone warned me about monday night. Ooodles and oodles of kids, dressed up like bigger tools than me, begging for snacks. I had a good time barking at them. Sylvester helped dad hand out candy, the kids seemed to be impressed. Hrumph...buncha feathers and beaks and they get all squishy...seriously. Oh, and did I mention Sylvester was living a secret life on us? Turns out she is a girl! We still call her sylvester or sylvie sometimes since that's what she is used to. She flew off her cage the other night and landed right on lucy's back. Lucy, being the slug that she is, barely moved. They both just enjoyed a brief shocked moment of togetherness before dad picked her up.

I have a secret....don't let it get out because dad hasn't told some people yet, but dad is getting a new job. He says he will have to leave a little earlier and get home a little later but he will be alot happier. I won't be quite so happy having to wait for him to get home, but he really has been kinda miserable lately so Im hoping it works out for him.

Mom is all a-buzz about the holidays...not exactly sure who they are but she is awfully excited about their arrival. Appearently they bring lots of good things too because she is making a list of what she wants them to bring her. Dad must know them better because she keeps giving him the lists, he just rolls his eyes alot. I hope *they* at least know how to bring me a danged doggie bag.

And another personalized shout out to Aunt Beth who I hear is having a cruddy week. Big ole Nugget hugs to you! If folks are giving you a hard time you just let me know, I'll come whizz on their shoes.

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Important news from the DBLF (Doggie Bag Liberation Front). We have doggie bag! It was hit or miss there for awhile. Mom and dad went out saturday night and dad apologized when he came home because he *intended* to bring me the elusive doggie bag but the people cleared the table before he could ask. Just when my hopes and dreams of doggie bag goodness were all but shattered mom and dad went to Uncle Shane and Aunt Jennifer's house for dinner last night. Now I haven't met these wonderful people yet but Aunt Jennifer sent me home a doggie bag so she must be alright. And she makes a fine steak too. Ok, so thats my primary exictement for the day, doggie bags rule.

In other news, the weekend was kinda hectic, mom and dad were trying to clean up the yard since all the leaves are falling. I did my best to help but then these huge leaf blowing monsters showed up and made alot of noise which scared me so I went inside to nap. I helped dad make some cookies and then he wouldnt even share them with me...kind of a ripoff. Lots of good chi-ropracting and bed snuggles for the weekend though...thats my kinda weekend. I'm thinking of expanding my practice, but mom and dad say we have enough dogs so we can't get a shitzu for my idea to add Shiatzu massage to the offerings.

15 November 2005

Hi Everyone. Nugget here! Sorry I have been a little remiss in updates lately. I've discovered the joys of licking myself and some days it is all consuming. But enough about me... So, still aglow with the delightful victory of the procurement of the elusive doggie bag, I have now become aware of an even more elusive and looming prey. Thanksgiving Turkey! Wooohoooo.....I hear nothing but good things about this. From the yummy juicy taste going in to the repulsive yet glorious odors coming out TurkeyDay is a joy to behold. Alas it seems that penchant toward the odiferous eminations means that this prey can be tricky. I have been warned that although there shall be abundant excess that sharing with the dogs is often forbidden. I am plotting with my siblings on a strategy to ensure we are not left out of the bounty. And from what I hear Dad makes one mean turkey. To heck with that roasting, we're goin deeep fried baby! Even mom is all a twitter about it, it seems this is a truly special event.

In other news, dad begins his new job right after the glorious TurkeyDay. He is exicted but nervous. Mom is still planning and preparing for the holidays (If we have success with the TurkeyDay insurrection we shall move on to a full on assault for the christmas bounty) Im busily making out my list for SantaPaws which mostly consists of more Gooberlicious treats and maybe a butch denim jacket.

Hi Everyone, Nugget here. Ya know....mom and dad are generally simple people with simple desires in life. It doesn't take too much to make them happy. A good chi-ropracting on a sleepy morning, a cold nose, the basics in life. Ok, except dad and those car things but this is more about mom. You see, it angers me when mom is denied the simple pleasures which make her life complete so today I am very angry at the Coca-cola people. They are taking away mom's diet vanilla coke, and she really loves that stuff. Aside from denying her a simple pleasure it is making my life hell as my entire environment is becoming an obstacle course of 12-packs and 2 liters since dad is buying up all that he can find for her. So if you have a spare moment, please go to www.cocacola.com and send them an email, ask them to bring back the diet vanilla coke and make mom happy.

Oh and when you are done there swing on over to www.phillyedge.com and vote for Preston and Steve on WMMR as the #1 morning show in the area. Seriously....these guys ROCK!

17 November 2005

Hi Everyone, Nugget here. And todays special nugget shout out (tm) goes to Kathy Romano from the Preston and Steve show on WMMR. I took a moment to email them yesterday to make sure they knew that chihuahuas liked their show too and that I was getting the word out for them here and she was nice enough to email me back. Thanks Kathy! And a big hello to your cat too....who is known only as black cat...poor kitty...should really have a name. For those of you who are still goofy enough not to listen to the P&S show in the morning Kathy does the traffic and just generally brings a sensible (but fun) female personality to the otherwise testosterone laden insanity of the show, she has also been known to get drunk on the air, but purely for educational purposes (yeah). Speaking of the P&S show and traffic...goofy dad is startin his new job soon and the drive is *much* longer and he is actually happy about it because it gives him more time to listen to the P&S show in the mornings.....yep, they are that good!

In other nugget news...mom went to watch a hockey game last night so I had to stay home and keep an eye on dad. He was mostly well behaved and cleaned up after me as he should, but he wouldn't share his Cheetos.

30 November 2005

Hi Everyone. Nugget here. Sorry about the lack of updates, I got caught on www.poodleporn.com again so dad took away my priveledges for awhile and now I can only post when he is home at night to supervise....bummer. Sooo, what's been going on....Thanksgiving came, thanksgiving went, but more importanly mom and dad went...AWAY for dinner....just as we had the full on cannine assult coordinated to get that turkey they went and had Turkey Day with Aunt Helen. I was robbed....well almost. Dad knew I was dissappointed, and mom still wanted some of that deep fried turkey goodness so dad cooked up the bird (no not Sylvester) on Sunday instead. Of course this caught us off guard so the cannine assault was again thwarted but dad was kind enough to save some for us and it was indeed all it was made out to be. Gooooood stuff.

Speaking of good stuff and eating and things. I had to go back to the vet to check my blood to make sure I'm doing ok. And Im just fine, I coulda told them that. Anywho...the point is they weighed me and I have gained a whole pound and 2 ounces...all this good eatin is working good for me. Look out world, they got me on 'roids and Im bulkin up. UFC (Ultimate Fighting Chihuahua) here I come.

Dad got me a new sweater the other day, it velcros up the back to it doesnt have to go over my head, I still fight him about putting it on, but its pretty nice. Blue and yellow and fleece. Not quite as butch as my sweatshirt but not all girlie either. And its nice and warm and gives me a little more coverage than the sweatshirt. I'll have mom get me some pics to show everyone.

On to december >
