Lucy's Lounge

 

Hi! I'm Lucy and I'm a SharPei. Gotta admit I'm a little miffed, I've been here with mom and dad for a long time now and suddenly there's the new guy and he's got his own website?!? What's up with that. Well, in all fairness he's got way too much energy so I guess its a good outlet for him. Me? I'd prefer a nap. Now I was mom and dad's first dog, so don't let the rest of these Fido come latelys try to tell you any different. Mom had always wanted 2 dogs, a pug and a min-pin and she wanted to name them Bud and Lou (abbot and costello) But it wasn't until she and dad decided to get married and move in together that she could have dogs because she was away from home alot. Well dad really wanted a SharPei and mom had never met one before (poor girl, such a deprived life) so dad took her to meet the family that had me and my siblings. It was love at first sight, I mean who wouldn't love me? Mom was so smitten she insisted I come home right away and I have been with them ever since. So first they called me Lucy because they could just call me Lou for short and mom could still have Bud and Lou, but I'm much too girlie for that nonsense so when my new sibling min-pin came along a few days later it was decided to name him Ricky. I am the princess of the household, Dad calls me the princess of peanutbutter, I don't know why. Sometimes I can forget my girlish ways and mix it up with the big boys. I get a bit beat up at times (but you should see the other guy) and it makes mom sad because she doesn't want me to ruin my beauty. I love my daddy, don't get me wrong, mom rules too, but somedays I can be obsessed with dad. We hang out together, and I won't get in my bed and go to sleep until he has let me come up on the bed to say goodnight to him.

Well, thats about all for now, this is cutting into my valuable nap time.
